what is rumah kita?

Rumah KITA is a peaceful villa with a gorgeous view of the local rice fields. The property  includes a bedroom and swimming pool, and is located only 10 minutes away from Canggu Beach. It is the perfect place to rest and relax!

our story

Two Balinese sisters always dreamed of living side by side with their respective families. One met a man from California and traveled far away; the other married an Indonesian and stayed in Bali. Now, after many years, their dreams are coming true. Between them, a symbol of their love and affection is Rumah KITA, which they have opened to guests and travelers who want to experience Bali. Co-owned and operated by the two sisters, Rumah KITA embodies their dreams of spending their days filled with the beauty and laughter that you can only find in Bali. Come enjoy the gorgeous island in the lovely environment cultivated by these two remarkable women.

about the space

Rumah KITA (“Our House” in Indonesian) is a lovely, one-bedroom villa equipped with air conditioning, one bathroom (which includes a toilet, sink, and shower), a beautiful outdoor kitchen, and a swimming pool with an outdoor shower. This brand-new house is incredibly spacious, clean, and comfortable. There is free WiFi and free mineral water by the gallon. Since Rumah KITA is a house owned by a local family, we do not provide meals or transportation.

The surrounding neighborhood provides plenty of fun activities and sightseeing opportunities: the house is located just 10 minutes (by motorbike) from Canggu Beach, known for its surfing and beautiful sunsets, as well as several popular restaurants.

Rumah KITA’s modern kitchen contains a two-burner range, a refrigerator, a microwave, a blender, and an electric water kettle. The kitchen opens up to the backyard and pool, and hosts bar seating for two.

Inside, there is a comfortable king-sized bed protected by a mosquito net, a writing desk perfect for getting work done, and an additional sofa-bed in the bedroom. There is also a wooden sofa for TV viewing in the living room, which opens to the backyard and pool.

Due to the quaint size of the villa, the maximum number of guests allowed is two adults. Guests enjoy sole access to the entire house and grounds.

things to note

The house is located in a field, so there is a possibility that you will be visited by birds, crickets, geckos, or other small insects. The mosquitos tend to come out around 6:00 to 7:00 pm, so please close all windows and doors in order to ensure maximum comfort. Please switch off the AC and any electrical appliances whenever they are not in use to save energy. We provide two sets of towels and will change them every 3 days. Sheets will be changed every new check in (or every week for a long-term stay). If you choose to stay 14 days or longer, you must pay an electricity fee.
